What about Element 3D v4.0? OBJ sequence, FBX, opacity maps, variable textures, shadows, raytracing, collision, model noise etc? Maybe VCP already has it and uses it for creating VFX ? Why not? I'm seeing VCP like a child slurping a big half-melted peach ice-cream on his bench at 110F in front of the neighborhood drooling kids, playing with his new-shiny-smooth-toy-that-nobody-can-touch-just-watch-(yet?).Look carefully at the first E3D presentation video: it's just big tease, like VCP is reluctantly, hardly, kinda VERY painfully revealing new features and finally deciding to cancel the presentation just after trying to show the array replication, like saying "I don't' REALLY wanna show you my new toy, I'd love to keep it just for myself, but somehow I realize I have to put it on sale! DAMMIT." It looks like VCP was/is aware of all this and turned everything into a big tease game. Bringing 3D objects in AE?!? Come on ! It's not rocket surgery/brain science! I wish Trapcode to have a Particular 3 with 3D object support going on right now, with all the good stuff TP 2 has- shadows, animation sequence etc., AE CS6 with raytrace and 3D object native support, Zaxwerks with not such a clumsy GUI - to put pressure on the competition - the incentive to progress. (almost) incredibly failed to bridge this small gap. That's what happens when the competition is almost nonexistent. Isn't it heavenly good ?!? Isn't it ? huh ? Sweet? NO!!!! Thank God they have strong competitors so they can't turn into Quark! A swift bite to the neck, and BANG! Now CS6 and 95% market share for a slick-brilliant-powerfull-amazing-superreliable Adobe Indesign+Photoshop/AE/Premiere/Acrobat/Illustrator/Flash/LightRoom for $50/mo-Creative Cloud. I knew since CS2 it's gonna be Quark killer, now with $599/license.
#Product product coolpack crack crack crack crack poop poop license#
I remember a clumsy-buggy-unreliable-overpriced Quark Xpress being the printing industry standard selling a license for $2,500 years ago when they had 95% market share, practically no competitor (maybe just a shy Adobe PageMaker) then bam! Adobe Indesign.
a 2 sec workaround - had to precompose the text in order to make AO to work-of course not a big deal at all.), but that's why the patches are for. It's not gonna be perfect, like Optical Flares - great product- wasn't (for ex. I guess a skinny v1.0 could've been released last year and now have a v2.0 with all this extra good stuff and v3.0 getting OBJ animation, var maps etc. Now, found out that a version was available in October last year. I was absolutely sure that at the beginning of the year, with the (new) delay announcement in the E3D release, VCP already has the E3D ready. Another one: minimum specs that were suppose to be up yesterday - are not, therefore so many redundant posts about compatible cards, OS, RAM etc.ΔΆ) Secrecy: huh?!? what's going to happen? on July 9 at 11:59pm Adobe is gonna release AE CS6.6 with 3D object support after reverse-engineering E3D screenshots and presentation videos and sink Element 3D? 1) Punctuality: failure to deliver on time: last one - was 5 weeks ago when on Tweeter, VCP was about to put up some FAQ and release E3D in "few days" that turned out to be few weeks - July 10.
